Wesley Eberle (b. 1978) is an American painter and sculptor based between London and the Greek island of Hydra.
Eberle’s work transcends conventional boundaries, navigating the profound interplay between intuition and expression and inviting viewers into a realm where the subconscious and the tangible converge.
His practice is characterised by the use of thick, expressive brushstrokes, embodying a sense of liberation and catharsis. Rooted in the tradition of American abstract expressionism, his colour field paintings draw on everyday inspirations, feelings, relationships and emotions and have garnered a devoted following among collectors throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States.
He has participated in numerous exhibitions across the UK and Europe and celebrated his first major solo show in London in 2023. Held at the House of St Barnabas in Soho, it featured eight large-scale oil paintings and one bronze sculpture, sharing the stage with solo exhibitions by esteemed artists Brian Eno, Helen Beard and Alvaro Barrington.
His long career in political and communication consulting shapes his work and fuels his exploration of contemporary culture and the rapidly changing ways in which we perceive ourselves and the world around us.
